In my last post I mentioned that we’ve been on a bit of a rollercoaster since my father passed away very suddenly last year.

I’ve taken a long break from posts and newsletters and let time work its magic. Now, I’m delighted to report that Team Kato’s looking forward more than back.

One big reason… a new arrival has joined Team Kato!

Life is messy, noisy, happy and full and we wish the very same to all of you!

Thank you for all your support in 2022 and wishing you and your loved ones all the very best for 2023!

More exciting news: Divya’s thrilled to announce that she has joined the team at Phoenix House International School!

She can’t wait for the projects to come in a school that truly values art and creativity – check out our murals videos below! – do follow Phoenix House on Instagram to keep up with all our news!

Divya’s When In Doubt, Draw art foundation course will still be be available online and in-person art classes will continue at the atelier in a more exclusive capacity as Team Kato shifts into this new chapter.

2022 Highlight & Timelapse Mural Videos 2022 & 2023

Last summer I was thrilled be a part of Rugby School Japan’s Summer Programme 2022 and this year we’ve hit the ground running with Phoenix House International School’s first mural!

Based at their North Peak Enrichment Campus Hokkaido and alongside brilliant teachers visiting from Rugby School UK, we created as much as we possibly could.

The weeks were jam-packed with art, music, drama, sports and even a talent show. We infused as much art into our days as possible: sketching on the beach, creating artwork for a group exhibition, still life drawings of instruments – here’s one I made earlier!
