In Jolly Phonics, the 42 letter sounds are taught, together with the letters that relate to those sounds, through the following stages:
Sounds
Letter formation
Blending and creating new words
Identifying sounds in words (for writing)
Spelling tricky words
Alternative spellings of vowels
Then we move onto the Grammar Stage!
