 Over ¥25 Million raised for the Tyler Foundation Tokyo, supporting children with cancer and their families in Japan.  Live Painting by Divya Marie Kato auctioned & raised ¥300,000 towards the cause.  Congratulations to all Team Tyler who worked so hard to make the event, the Tyler Foundation Carnival Extravanganza 2012, exceed all expectations and to be all that they dreamed it would. “Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.”    Divya Marie Kato’s art classes are Reggio Emilia & Montessori inspired as Divya is passionate about their approaches to education since she first started teaching.  Having taught art now for over nine years, Divya continues to conduct her art classes allowing students, both children and adults, full freedom of their imagination.  “If education is always to be conceived along the same antiquated lines of a mere transmission of knowledge, there is little to be hoped from it in the bettering of man’s future. For what is the use of transmitting knowledge if the individual’s total development lags behind?”
