Otsukaresamadeshita November! This year, we were honoured to have our own family art and craft stall at Guy Perryman’s annual Bridge Street Market!
Highlights included working with my family, the food (pies, glorious pies!), drinks, live music, meeting the incredible small business owners of Tokyo, listening to the British Embassy Taiko Team and creating a live art piece with Japanese tape artist, Takaomi Inai!
We ran with Guy Perryman’s concept for the market: bridging Tokyo and London and Japan with the world.
1 Japanese Artist + 1 British Artist = 1 Funky Collaboration!

Drawing’s still extremely important in museums –
in order to learn from closer connection and observation. I’ve been disappointed that some galleries and museums are not allowing sketching – fellow drawer, Adrian Hogan, was recently told to stop drawing outside a well known, Tokyo gallery, I was told to stop for using an ink pen (to draw something incased in glass) and also for using a pencil (and offered an ETCHER SKETCHER…) – will keep chipping away at this!
